Maybe a command to not show up on "where"? It would be helpful for people that don't want to advertise where they might be hiding out or something like that.

Also, along that same train of thought, maybe put the whole OOC/IC thing into the "where" command instead of "who"? That way you only have to type one command to see who's IC and where they are at.

How about making it so that if you are classed you never get sent back to the First Steps in creating your Character room ever again? It's kind of frustrating to be stranded there when an Imm isn't on to give you a trans back to the grid.

Okay I thought of this earlier. How about a sort of voicemail system for the MU*? Like you could send someone a tell even if they're not online and it would hold the tell until the person logged on and then send them all their messages since they were away. Since it seems to me (I could be totally wrong though) that some people don't check the forums as much as they log onto the MU* itself. This way you could leave like phone messages or something that they would get the next time they checked their answering machine/cell phone/mail slot/whatever.

Another idea: Can we have some way of having more than one description and the ability to switch between them? This would be of great use to those with Obfuscate or for those who want to disguise themselves or anyone with Protean who might want to use Shape of the Beast and um that one Vicissitude level where you can turn into a war machine. Thanks!

After careful consideration, I've come to the conclusion that many of the
ideas are circumvented entirely by a go-around. Phone code is replaced
by tells that are IC, any voicemail or offline messages are replaced by
the fact that we have this extensively powerful system called "forums" to
free up both the space and the memory consumption of adding a note
system in game.

There are however, still things that need to be done. As of today, the no-
ooc code that was so nicely donated (all five lines of it Very Happy ) has been
actually implemented in game. Osay is not affected by this at all, and it
should not be. This was added, along with changes to aesthetics. The
roomdescs of characters will no longer spill over the last bit to -before-
the next character in the rooms name, or in the event of only one other
character, onto a blank line. It's all been neatened up.

As far as I am concerned, there are only a few small things that should
be added code-wise that would make certain characters lives a bit easier
and prevent abuse. First and foremost, obfuscate for invisibility to players
without a means to detect it. Stealth rolls should be requested, as there
are variables which create higher target numbers such as location, dry
leaves, well lit areas, or what have you. Said obfuscate would be logged
and echoed to all ST's to prevent abuse, and by the same token would
not be echoed to characters to also prevent abuse. A system would be in
place to allow for those with auspex to be able to see the obfuscated.

Next, second descriptions should be utilized in ways depending on what
type of character you have. Vampires with high obfuscate (3) should be
able to change their description to utilize the mask, garou should be able
to use them for shifting, tzimisce could utilize war-form, and gangrel
could utilize form of the beast.

Being that there is nothing really established for masquerade, and there
is not always a storyteller online, a masquarade system should be
implemented to allow for players to roll masquerade for each time they
enter a new scene themselves, and echo the results in the event of a
failure or botch to the room, and otherwise echo the number of successes
to the player making the roll. Likely rules will have to be hammered out
as to the exact effects of masquerade (warm skin, breathing, not being
pale), by way of a wiki or forum post so that players can roleplay
accordingly, as well as the option to burn blood with the command where
it would be required.

On this same line of thought, the player dice command idea still sounds
good, and would only be for non-contested rolls such as performance or
comforting or empathy/mood rolls. Not being an avid dice jockey or at
all knowledgeable about the whitewolf system, I would have to be spoon
fed the particulars and what rolls are actually appropriate, but there are
many situations where it would be nice to have an idea of how to gauge
your reaction in rp for something as simple as dancing with someone or
doing a magic trick, for example. Also, this way the players could feel
more included on all of the goddamn botches we get from the ST's finally
being in our hands, however menial the task might be. Very Happy

Today a recall command was suggested, and I'll be looking into it. A
small bump is that only classed characters should be able to use this
command, and adding a classed flag or level to every currently classed
character's pfile would be a big pain in the dick. Doing something like not
allowing players without a willpower stat (starts at 0 for new/unclassed
chars) to use it would likely suffice. This command would bring you to
15000 instead of the default home room/crash entry point/new character
room of 9900.

As is always the case, more heads on one subject will usually reveal a
better answer, and I'm generally all about offering at least constructive
criticism for ideas that aren't perfectly thought out. So, if you think I
missed something...this is your chance. POST YOUR IDEAS, or they will
remain what they are...figments of your imagination.

Chuck bless you all.
