Alright, I was actually just going to just ignore the Dead Mu* stuff, but as Netfreehost was like, 'Your forum needs more posts, or you're just taking up space!', then I've decided to just go ahead and post this here -

I don't know what you all think getting together and talking is going to fix. It's ten times harder to round people up, someone will always have to 'go early', and there's always going to be someone there patronizing other people.

You've got a forum. A vehicle for public discussion over separate time zones and separate schedules. Use it. What do you want to see happen with the Mu*? You've got time and energy invested into it, so I'm sure you all have some preferences or suggestions. Do you want something else? Do you just want more players? More STs? Removal of all spheres but one?

Be the change that you wish to see in the digital world. - gh4|\|di

Personally, I'd like to see more players on the game, so that we have some fresh blood, as it were. The game has stagnated into nothing happening, and new players tend to at least jumpstart things.

I don't think that reducing the game down to one sphere is necessarily bad, but I'd imagine that it would piss off people who have their characters already established into the game. Perhaps a compromise. Separate the spheres into their own games, if you have to. Garou don't mesh well with vampire, and since the predominate population of the game is evil bloodsucker, interaction will have to happen eventually.

I really like the idea of a Garou only game, because it lets the players focus on what makes Garou great.

After talking to many of the players it seems that the lack of ST activity has been rather disappointing to the players and the lack of player activity has been discouraging to the STs. I believe that's what is called a vicious cycle. Personally I don't know what could be done to kickstart the chronicle again but players actually being on and roleplaying would be a great start. Can't say I'm not guilty of this either, but it's the same story as everyone else. When I log in, nobody's there.

Now, I see a lot of you on AIM, or MSN, and at one point, I've seen 3 or 4 of you all on at the same time, saying you weren't logged in because no one else was around to play with.

The first step to fixing that, is to log in and stay logged in. If you're going to be around the computer, but doing other things, then just stay logged in. It's not as if a mud client is a major strain on a CPU. Eventually, someone else is going to come around, and then when they do, instead of just logging off, they'll see you and stick around too. Then what? A third person comes along and sees /two/ people?! It's a vicious cycle, but it's one that can be reversed pretty easily.

For my own part, I don't have a set time that I will probably be around everyday. (lol swing shifts) But, I'll make an effort to be around more. I'd like to hire one to two more staff members. Half of our staff is on break from the game, so we're going to do our best to get a couple more storytellers so it doesn't slow down like this so much.

Also, I'm going to merge this and the availability post, so when you get a chance, post up right here the times/days you're available for roleplay when you get the chance. Thanks everyone.

Reminding everyone to post up when they're available in general, or even this week, or even just today, to RP. Lots of people complaining that nothing's getting done. I can only do so much.

(All times are EST)
Mon: When I wake up until 2ish, then back home close to 9pm.
Tue: When I wake up until 3ish, then back home close to 8.
Wed: After 4pm.
Thursday: When I wake up until about 1ish, then back home close to 9.
Friday: Here all day (except errands).
Sat: After 7pm.

These are rough times, and if I work overtime or go out, I won't be able to update them.

Also, Please make use of the Private Message system that the forums offers. I do check my PMs far, far more than I do a general browse around the forums and the Wiki. For those of you that don't know, my connection is dog shit and causes me to idle out. Sometimes I idle out while typing, and sometimes not for days. Usually, however, I idle out every few minutes. I will make more of an attempt to keep an eye on it.

I'd very much like to get a group of characters together, from any spheres, and get them ready for some mini storylines. These WILL require that you do rolls for it on the side and be ready for the next session, and that if a pause must occur, that everyone is understanding about it. If Staff could chat with me however they want about their times and if they'd like to help out I would appreciate it. If players would like to discuss more about this before it's actually fully concieved, please PM me here on the forums!

Thanks everyone. <3

This is when I'm usually available online:

Sundays
(Not really available at all)

Mondays
Anywhere from about 2am until 9am, and then from about 7pm until 10:30pm

Tuesday-Friday
About 8am until 10am, and then about 7pm until 10:30pm

Saturday
About 8am until 10am, and then about 7pm until 7am Sunday morning

This is just a tentative schedule since sometimes I might be out and about, or sleeping later than usual (sleep... I loves the sleep). My AIM is listed below (for those that don't already have it).

Tuesday: 6PM - 9AM

Wednesday: Work 6PM - 12AM, home at 1 and usually on till 9AM.

Thursday: 6PM - 9AM

Friday: Work 6PM - 12AM, home at 1 and usually on till 9AM.

My times sometimes shift depending on whether or not I actually fall asleep or other circumstances. Feel free to reach me on AIM or Yahoo (Generally frequent YIM more often than not.)

-plays taps-

Need recruitment of new players. Obviously, there are few-to-none left. Need advertisement if this MUD is going to continue. Or just let it die. Either way.

What's the game plan?
