~*A wide corkboard panel takes up most of this wall, and looks as though it was just installed a few days prior to replace the long standing tack-board. The surface is outline with a number of small thumb tacks, and a stationary layer of plastic that covers a letter. This box is locked with a simple bolt. A long strip of coiled paper is encased the long box of plexiglass, written on faintly pink parchment with two types of hand-writing.

The main sections of the Traditions were wrote with stiff letters, dark, heavy lines, and straight traces from left to right. The second, the notes written between each law, is a curled script of quick lines, the orientation of the paragraphs tilting heavily upward toward the right side.*~

I. The Tradition of The Masquerade
Secrecy is required of all Kindred concerning your true nature. This is the most important of the Six Traditions. To violate this tradition is to risk one's own destruction and the destruction of all Kindred.
Active steps must be taken to change the character of mortal society, and direct minds away from superstitious thoughts.
It is the Prince's right to limit feeding in cases where it may imperil the Masquerade. This may be concerned with where and from whom Kindred may feed, and the Prince may place restrictions on some or all Kindred in their domain.

Masquerade breakers will not be relieved of guilt. As always, the Prince and the Primogen have the authority to judge offenses and sentence. If such villain is the Childe of another, and has not been released into their own accord, both Master and Apprentice will be sentenced by the right of Lextalionis, if desired by the Prince and the Primogen Council.

II. The Tradition of Domain
The Prince of each domain holds claim over it, and must be respected. Their judgement upon disputes, and any matter relating to the Six Traditions, must be accepted by all who reside within.

The Prince has claimed Domain over the whole of Los Angeles himself until such a time as the next Court attending when the rules of Domain will be addressed.

III. The Tradition of The Progeny
Before creating progeny, permission from your Sire and your Prince must be obtained. Failure to comply with this rule will result in Lextalionis to be called upon both the Offender and their newly created progeny.
A Prince has the right to freely create progeny in their own domain.

No young Kindred are to be created without the expressed permission of the Prince, and the permission and personality analysis of your preferred Primogen. Those that break this tradition will be called by Lextalionis, with their Childe, unless an immediate appeal is made to the Prince, who retains the right to call upon the punishment of breaking the Traditions regardless of whim.

IV. The Tradition of The Accounting
One who sires a childe must assume responsibility for it until it has been released. Any crimes the childe commits, the sire is guilty with them.
Release involves presenting the childe to your own Sire and your Prince. If the childe is recognized as one of the Blood by both, they are considered neonate.
Until the childe is released, they have no rights under Camarilla Law. Any may kill or feed from the childe, unless they are protected by their sire. Diablerie of the childe is not permitted.

Announcement of release when a Childe is admitted to their own power and standing must be officially announced at the attending of Court -before- said Neonate will be accepted as the Fifth Tradition.

V. The Tradition of Hospitality
When entering a new domain, which is claimed by a Prince, one must present themselves before the Prince. The Prince has the right to refuse acceptance into their domain.
Those who are not accepted in a domain yet stay, or refuse to follow this Tradition, are known as Autarkis: a vampire not part of the Camarilla, and may be subject to Lextalionis.

His majesty Asbjorn Fridtjof has requested that each of the Kindred in the city present themselves through a meeting, letter, or other means of discrete communication. Those that do not will be afforded no rights as their placement in the city will then be illegal, not to mention rude.

VI. The Tradition of Destruction
Only the Prince has the right of destruction of other Kindred within their domain, none other. Though this is limited to those who have broken any of the Six Traditions.
Only the Prince may call a Blood Hunt on one in their domain.
Only the exceptions in rule XX, Lextalionis, allow a Kindred to kill another of the Blood.
Autarkis, such as those of the dread sect the Sabbat, have no rights under Camarilla Law and thus may be killed or their blood partaken. Diablerie upon such vampires considered a breech of this Tradition, and punishable by Lextalionis.

Those who break any of the Six Traditions must be punished severely. In all cases where the Offender is guilty outright Lextalionis must be called upon them. The Offender is subject to the Blood Hunt, and when caught is slain. Any of the Kindred within the domain may join in the hunt, and the Prince may insist that they do. Any who find the Offender have the right to conduct summary justice upon the outcast. They may also partake of the Offender's blood, though are expressly forbidden to diablerise them. Those who do so will find themselves also under a Blood Hunt. Lextalionis is the only circumstance, except when killing an unreleased childe or the duel, where a Kindred may slay one of their kind. It is to be noted that duels to the death may only be fought when challenging for Princedom, or when called in a Conclave.

XXIV. Diablerie
The extinguishment of a vampire by drinking their lifeblood, known as Amaranth or diablerie, is one of the most serious crimes. In certain cases it is deemed suitable, because of the torment, for punishment, to be executed by a Prince or Justicar only. This is not allowed if the Offender is of lower generation than the Prince or Justicar. Anyone caught committing the act of Amaranth must have Lextalionis called upon them. Diablerie seriously threatens the stability of the Camarilla and the safety of all Kindred, and its punishment must be enforced ruthlessly.

Now, in such times, the Prince has demeed that the Diablerie will not be tolerated as any form of punishment. Those previous considered for the call of Laxtalionis are hereby claimed completely unworthy to have their blood granted to anyone. Those that lead themselves to such an end may leave behind traces of those that were touched by their blood. The people who are - lovers, Ghouls, students, or children - are to speak with the Seneschal or Prince to stabilize devotion in such a difficult time as the loss of Kindred.

Next to the Traditions, a seperate plate of smaller plexiglass is pressed and pinned to the board - clearly an issue moved from the previous notice board. It reads:

Let it be known, so that ignorance cannot be an excuse, that the rules of Elysium that are being set forth on this night of December 14th, 2007, shall be applicable in all buildings that are declared to be Elysium. Breaking those laws which are given, shall be punishable under the authority of the Sheriff of Los Angeles, The Scourge, or worse, The Prince himself.

1. There shall be no violence within the inviolable walls of Elysium. All weapons will be handed to the guards upon entrance, with the exception of those who hold the power to punish within Elysium, and the guards.

2. There will be no use of Disciplines within the walls of Elysium. Aggressive, or friendly, it does not matter. The only exception to this are those who hold the power to punish within Elysium, and the guards.

3. No ghouls shall be allowed into Elysium, with the exception of those which guard it. Ghouls brought into Elysium will kindly be parted with their heads. There is no exception to this rule. Those who bring their ghoul into Elysium, risk the same punishment, at the discretion of the Prince himself.

4. Elysium shall not be spoken of outside of Elysium. These are cautious times. In a city where the Camarilla is not the authority, those who do not join it, shall not benefit from it. Vampires of an independent nature shall /not/ find sanctuary there.

These rules of Elysium are not subject to change, nor are they considered mere guidelines. Only the Prince has the full, absolute authority to break them, and only then, under a situation of extreme duress. Warnings are not given. In this troubled city, there is no room for a second chance. All who violate the Laws of Elysium, will be prosecuted under the most extreme definition of the word, under Camarilla Law.

A small note at the bottom reads, in a flowing script:

Writen by the hand of Gareth Winchester, former Scourge and advisor to the Court, who offered his life in the fight for the control of Los Angeles.

The Laws of Elysium are placed in times of old and new, and will not be broken on account of ignorance, or past decree. All Kindred in the city are expected to follow these rules regardless of reason, unless otherwise instructed by the Prince, and the Prince alone.

The city has lost two homes of Elysium due to carelessness and lack of duty. Patience and forgiveness will not be shown for putting our ways and our kind at risk.

Decree of Prince Fridtjof, Spoken by Seneschal Salazar.
