Masquerade Puppet, weary with time,
It's the same dance it's been for years.
Camarilla rhythm, Malkav's rhyme-
Bumps in the night, childhood fears.

Mindful of the hunger, beware the Beast
Masquerade Puppet, dance on the strings
Be quick abed before the rise in the East
'Til you can follow the whims of bygone kings.

Beyond life, beyond dying, lost evermore,
Come when they call, make your report
To your city's jester, who breeds the war.
Dance, little Puppet, before the Court.

The first nights a blessing, eternally cursed
A black velvet fantasy, this Embrace.
Of all you'll be missing, life is the worst.
In the mirror, Puppet- where's your face?

Suddenly hungry, starved from the dance?
Then do it, my Puppet, but do it right.
'It was only a dream'- out of a trance,
Leave the prey living- don't stain the night.

Quietly carpe noctem, there's vitae eternal
But mind your place and your position,
Else your dream will end in a fire infernal,
Remember, Puppet, 'There Is No Inquisition!'

Beware the Thin Bloods and blackened moon
Wading through time, the old ones return
Cry 'Gehenna', Puppet- it will all end soon,
And awash in blood, the world will burn.

Camarilla says 'Don't fear, it's all a lie',
But you'll find little comfort in what they say.
Cling to their eternity, the moon rises high,
You're just their Masquerade Puppet, anyway.

(Let me know what you think!)

This is a fine and shining example of the AB rhyme scheme. At least, I'd like to think so. Mucho props on it, and congratulations for being the first one to put up something on these boards!
