"As you can see behind me, the ruins of buildings here along the strip between La Cienga and Saint Vincent still steaming in the afternoon after a riot ripped through this populated area sometime late last night. Harold Myzer is live on Fairfax to bring us Police commissioner Roger Edmonds as the LAPD releases their official statement."

"Thank you, Maria. Indeed there's been a buzz of questions and information after this incident, and everyone his hopeful to hear what the commissioner has to say that will bring some levity to this disaster."

"At roughly one fifteen a.m., a group of between a hundred and a hundred and fifty men gathered outside of Ambiance de Ciel. It is unclear if this events were premeditated, but it can be assumed that were it so planned, the turnout was quite above and beyond anything that was expected.

The mob then rushed an attack and following riot claimed the lives of six men and four women. All names are being held out of respect of the families.

Weapons used in this attack range from a number of small arms - pistols and shotguns - to an odd piece of the puzzle that turns out to be a military issue grenade launcher. No word yet as to how this technology could have fallen into the hands of such destructive force in LA, but at this time the LAPD is ruling out military involvement.

The owner of Ambiance, Gabriel Bennett, has not be reached for questioning by the media or the authorities, and the authorities urge anyone who knows his where-abouts to come forward.

That is all. No questions. Thank you for coming to this conference."

"We've been told that property damage reached into the figures of four to five million dollars in this terrible episode, and upwards of thirty people have been taken into custody, though no reports have been given yet to a cause or ringleader."

"Thank you Harold. At this time, the LAPD urges anyone that can offer information or help to call 1-800-444-INFO and speak to someone. This is Maria Snelder, Channel 10 News."

South central Los Angeles; usually a desolate scene, filled with gang violence, poverty, and various other things that the rest of the population would look away from. But on this sunny regular weekday, something out of the ordinary is happening.

*The scene cuts from the anchor to video footage of a medium sized box truck with a trio of black men at the rear end of it, unloading fresh meats and other foods to a crowd of underpriviledged residents. A short distance away, in the foreground, is chinese reporter Jaqueline Chan*

Reporting live from sunny and usually sullen South Central, where today a local luminary has once again decided to extend himself to the people here who need help the most. To any who can prove in some way, whether through Social Security, WIC, or otherwise, Arsalaan Dahirr and his brother, as well as those close to his family, have decided once again that it is time for a positive light to be brought to this impoverished area of LA. You can see behind me the crowd forming, as they have been for weeks now. This is the third week in a row that this truck has arrived, and like children to an ice cream truck, the residents heed the call of this gift to the people. Arsalaan himself was unavailable for comment, apparently the work he does requires too much of his interest in other areas outside of the media, but the message is clear: what the people -really need-, he is available to provide as best he can.

Reporting live from South Central. Back to you at the studio.
