All HG starts out at Diff6 to walk onto, with a +1 Diff for each rating it has. So HG3 would be a Diff9 roll to walk onto. The vampire rolls his WP. So if he had 6 WP, that would be 6 dice at Diff9. Holy Ground ratings cannot go above 4.
Botch: The character is forced to flee, and takes unsoakable AGG damage = to HG rating.
0 Successes: The character is forced to flee the Holy Ground. Can try again in 24 hours.
1 Success: -4 to all rolls a vampire makes on the ground. Major discomfort.
2 Successes: -3 to all rolls a vampire makes on the ground. Major discomfort.
3 Successes: -2 to all rolls a vampire makes on the ground. Minor discomfort.
4 Successes: -1 to all rolls a vampire makes on the ground. Minor discomfort.
5 Successes: No penalties at all. No discomfort at all.
Note: Vampires on the Road of Heaven get the Diff lowered by 1 for each level of their road rating.
